I think I am getting to the end of my DU4 items now? Maybe? I did buy quite a bit there. I love this dress, all the attachments fit together perfectly, and the leggings, Flower *hat*, and neck piece all just add to the overall look. The mask actually comes on a tattoo layer too, so no awkward fitting.
The hairrrrr… Love. The. Hair. This style is yet another from Hair Fair, this time from Miel. Their styles are always sculplted so well, and I adore all the curls in this short do. They have a few others as well that are new, at the fair. I do wish they had a brighter red tho, but obviously that hasn’t stopped me from wearing it!

I can’t resist a good cardigan, in either SL or RL. Just so happens there were quite a few to be had at DU4. I picked up these 2 while visiting, because I knew I had some gorrrrgeous Hair Fair hairs that needed love.
The first hair is from Shag, which is a newer store, I’ve known about it about 7 months or so now. There are a few new hairs set out at the fair, the one I am wearing, a side pony and one with a hat. This one had to be used, it is so outrageously big, and I am not sure if I will get to wear it around the grid so much, but it is PERFECT for photos. It makes me feel like a super starrrrr.
The 2nd hair is from Clawtooth, I’ve only really recently been able to appreciate Bubbles’ hair. I just started picking up items these last few months, even tho I’ve know of the store forever it seems. I ADORE this hair though, the cute bangs and the hat (which is color change, in case you were wondering), it really is the perfect hair for a cardigan.

To go with these lovely gowns I picked up at Designers United I decided to use some of the more original hairs from Hair Fair. The first is from a new to me store called The Strand, I love the huge curls and the diamond jeweled hair piece as an accent. I think the big bold hair really balances the wild gown (which I cannot possibly do justice in photos, you must see it in person!)
The second hair is from booN, which is one of my all time favorite hair shops, if you are looking for something more extraordinary. The knotted braided do, is really just glorious, and I think the designer’s textures have improved so much over time. I will be looking for another dozen reasons to wear this hair this week I think it really adds to this dress, while it is beautiful, it is very simple, and the hair offsets it nicely.

This weekend in Second Life is like the ummmm… well, actually I just don’t have anything to compare it to. Some of the most amazing events are taking place, not only do you have the Annual Hair Fair, but there is also another charity event going on called Project Donate, AND in addition to that Designers United started as well.
Designers United 4 is compiled of some 80 or so well known designers, all creating unique items that are for sale, and the layout is fantastic, I have to sincerely thank whoever planned it. Hair Fair, while LOVELY to look at, was very frustrating to navigate, I am certain I didn’t see every booth, because I just couldn’t FIND them.
Project Donate is the other event I mentioned which will hopefully turn into 4 events a year that will run 2 weeks each to benefit various charities. The very first event will is to benefit UNICEF Pakistan Flood Crisis and is open now through September 19th.
So now you know where you should be this weekend, and for that matter for the next 2 weeks, since all these events are ongoing. Moving right along, to the HAIRRRRR….
I am featuring another of my 2 faves from the Fair thus far. The first is from ATOMIC, and its a pretty casual side pony, that you will just need to own. The second is from Raspberry Aristocrat, and this specific style actually comes 3 ways, I am wearing the My Darla. I am so happy to see newness from RA! The hair does NOT come with the flowers, just to be forwarned, the flower head piece is part of the dress, which, guess what??? Is from the DU4 event! =P

So, is it shameful that the last time I blogged was for the Shoe Fair, and now I am back with the Hair Fair? Maybe. But here you are anyway <3
Alright, so lets see – What is this “Hair Fair” I speak of? Much like I explained in my Shoe Fair post, Hair Fair is an event that is organized every year which gathers up some of the best talent in Second Life to showcase their latest designs. This year of course is no exception, and when it opens on September 4th, you will be able to navigate your way through the 4 sims worth of hair-gasm.
This year’s Hair Fair benefits Wigs for Kids, a charity that raises money to hand craft wigs for children, so they can lead active lives without any added stress of feeling “different”.
My first hair that I want to share is from LoQ, which, while I’ve heard of them a few times, I haven’t actually purchased any of their styles before. I was SO impressed with this one, I love the way the hair falls around the frame of the face, and the texturing as well. It is called Turkish Coffee, and you can find it at the Hair Fair… starting SATURDAY!
