Really though, I adore this new dress, I am so glad I got it in this bold pattern, and the new hair and shoes were a perfect fit for the look.

I decided about 2 weeks ago that I needed a new home. I was attempting to be thrifty and use a skybox I already had in my inventory when Sophia Harlow linked me to the marketplace listing for this skybox. She knew I wouldn’t be able to resist. And how could I really? Not only is it mesh, and the textures are gorgeous, but it “overlooks” Manhattan.
Long story short, I had to have it, filled it with all my favorite things and thought it was pretty enough to share <3
I have a new home! (Shocking, I know!)
I am so in love with this new place though, and while I do love having places I can fill with all my precious things, sometimes it is really nice to just rez something and not have to do much of anything with it! LOL
The home is from Abiss, which you might have guessed, I think their style & quality is generally easy to distinguish.
The Country Retreat Residence can either be rezzed on the ground or a skybox version. I am sharing the skybox because I was SO impressed with how well the surround for the skybox was made. I love the grounds, trees and the sky enclosure. Really well done, and you even get extra trees in case you want to change it up a bit.
The pool is gorgeous, AND has a whole bunch of interactive poses, you can dive, swim, lounge pool side. I love those clever little details. The outside gazebo AND couch are included (and packed with poses) and even the grill is included.
Everything you see in all of these images included with purchase, AND almost the entire build is MESH! \o/
The interior is equally as impressive, and I happen to really like the size of this home. I don’t really love big houses in SL, because I just don’t have the use for all of the space, but this one is roomy but not overwhelming. The kitchen is packed with poses both in the table set (yep included) and along the wall in stove/sink area. Fun things to play with! Even the piano tucked away near the entry is included, and on top of it being gorgeous to look at it also functions, if you remember I’ve previously blogged about it!
All the details move right up the stairs to the bedroom, sitting room and bath. Again all of the furniture is full of poses, so is the ridiculously glam bathroom AND the hot tub tucked away on the deck!
I can say enough about this home, you really need to visit it yourself in world and walk around it to truly appreciate it. Every time I log in I smile!
Guess who is going on vacation? ME! *insert happy dance* So I’m giving you one more blog before I head off to visit Mickey! I’ve purchased my very first Glam Affair skin this week. That might seem a little shocking, but as far as redheads go, there wasn’t much for me, nothing really suited me. But this new one is just love!
Like my new piano? Its mesh you know. mhmmm… only 11 prims with all that detail, it can pose up to 4 people, annnnnd it play something like 20 songs! Its ridiculously well made, honestly, it is hard to believe I am not staring at a photo of a real piano…THAT impressive. It comes in white also, and I didn’t display the music sheet/stand that came with it…just fyi! =P

I took some pics of the home sim all done up for Spring last week. I hadn’t shared them on the blog yet, and then this lovely boat came into my life! It does actually sail unlike some other boats that solely have poses in them. This offers 2 spots to sit in, the rower, and the lazy ass (me). I love the little lantern that hangs off the back of the boat, really adds to how adorable it is! Oh and did I mention its only 75L$ this weekend for Lazy Sunday! Better hurry and grab one…

I’m in love with this mesh skirt, I sit and watch my AO move with it on, and my wellies are mesh also, so they are nearly as mesmerizing!
My look today is still keeping with my whole Fall theme, especially since I am using this great weekend release – a furnished cabin from What Next. It is absolutely adorable, decor on the walls, a nice table and chairs, and a window seat with poses. You can pick up the items separate, or get it all together for 20% off!

I tried to wait to get this new home, but after fighting with my last place for a month now, and really not being able to fill it the way I wanted to, I gave in. Maybe Jordan’s new house was just calling my name?
She never fails to create amazing homes/skyboxes, her textures, flooorplans, and lighting are always spot on. It is amazing to me that she can take a simple rectangular shaped space and still create 4 different spaces within it.
It doesn’t become a cookie cutter home, and on top of that her textures are completely unique, there is so much warmth and character, even just from one room to the next.
I love having my own space in SL, that I’ve filled with all the things I’ve collected and treasure so much, especially when they have an amazing place to be displayed.
I’ve been meaning to redecorate, so I consider myself lucky that Desiree Bisiani of Ambiance furniture can read minds. She was fantastic enough to pass me over some of the great new furniture that is available at their store. Both of these sets come from the new Hacienda line. They just happen to fit PERFECTLY in my little beach house.
They come with the usual perks you can find in the Ambiance furniture – Menu driven color change, as well as poses. I love that you can purchase one set of furniture, and really get a much larger selection. You can decide tomorrow that you really didn’t want a blue bedroom set and switch it over to the green, etc. And ofcourse its not just the bedding that changes, but all of the wood textures on the bed, and all of the accompanying pieces.
There is also a dining set that is part of the Hacienda series, which I’ve not featured here – simply because I have an itty bitty house, but it is MY Lovely Place. <3
