I was chatting with Tesh last night, and it came up in conversation that I am originally from New York.  I don’t mention it all that often anymore, I think I used to complain a lot more about missing “home”, but I’ve only actually live in North Carolina about 5 years now. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I live, it is a really beautiful part of the country, but the city girl in me misses the hustle & bustle occasionally.  There really isn’t any other city that can compare…

So when I came across the Burley sim on Koinup places and saw the Vesuvio Bakery on the corner, I was immediately won over.  There are other New York styled sims around, pretty sure I’ve seen other pics of one with the Brooklyn Bridge that I will have to hunt down.  So don’t think this is the last you’ve seen of me wandering the city streets!

All I Want For Christmas Is You

I’d be singing “All I want for Christmas is Gos boooooots babyyyy….”  But I already have them, so that seems counter productive.

They are gorgeous tho, aren’t they?  The boots…focus people.  You can wear them with socks or without, *and* you can also wear the loose fitting version which is unzipped.  I of course needed the fatpack option of colored socks…bubblegum ftw!

Just so you know, when you are chatting with Bouncer Criss and you say “I’m wearing these amazing new boots, but I can’t decide what to wear with them…”  This is how that story ends: You on your back, not wearing much else besides the boots.  I’m not complaining, tough life I’ve got, ey?

Daughters

I had the lovely pleasure of having Grazia Horwitz on my platform yesterday.  Graz is one of my “newer” friends, we’ve always had the same circle of people in common, but we didn’t actually officially become friends until her and Don started dating.  God is he lucky!  =P  Anyway, I’ve followed her blog for years, and adore her sense of style.  I can appreciate how she embraces her sexuality, and that she can change herself all the time.  We didn’t get to chat as much as I would have liked, because I had to run off and pick up my little one from school, but she is a good catch, I might have to try and steal her from Don…

So, when I decided I wanted to blog with another friend, I just IM’d everyone who was online, and said whoever was dressed so c’mon over.  Grazia was the first to respond.  She just happened to show up in this lovely look, including our matching hair!  But that isn’t really shocking, this do is STUNNING, I am planning on wearing it for as long as…well… as long as it takes Truth to have another new release.

I'll Be Waiting

Today I participated in the Second Life Fashion Experts days.  My blog was posted on the Second Life Community Blog, HERE, and following that I spent the day chatting with residents on the Fashion Forums.  It was a really positive day, and I got to interact with quite a few great people, in addition to my fellow bloggers who poked their heads in to say hello.  I think I am going to make a genuine effort to be on the forums more regularly, especially over the next few days, since the Fashion Expert Days will still be going on!

Anyway, I couldn’t possibly resist blogging this new top, yes I’m vain, and YES it is because it is named Felicity!!! =P  Lucky for me it also happens to be well done!

52 Weeks Of Color Challenge: Teal

Teal

This week’s color is Teal, and I am not sure my top is exactly teal, but I just got it, and I love it…so lets pretend?  I think my eye makeup is probably a little more teal, and it is gorgeous isn’t it?  This is the first picture I’ve taken in this new skin, when I first tried it on I wasn’t really sure I loved how I look in it, but the quality is so amazing that it is growing on me quite a bit.

The top is fantastic as well, the sculpts all fit really nicely, and it isn’t one of those that will only work for a still shot, it moves really well with my AO.  I also love that you were given a few different belt color options, though I do think the coral suits it best.

I’m blonde!!  I will be for the next few days actually, for fun.

I love this pose, it is really different…  and built into the lovely chair I am seated on.  Great newness from Diesel Works!  There are 23 poses in that chair… TWENTY THREE!  Tons of amazing options for your photography needs. I highly recommend it.  Also, a neat feature I was loving about it -  In some of the poses, your avie is facing a different way, or the chair is rotated, but it all rotates for you.  Does that make sense?  Basically, you don’t have to cam around, or try a new angle, it is all set!  Great stuff.

I wasn’t really feeling up to blogging today, but this simply perfect outfit was dropped on me, in addition to what is probably my most favorite hair from Kavar as of yet.  It also got me fiddling with makeup tattoo layers, since I was looking for a bit more dramatic eye make up.  I adoooore the way this dark lipstick looks with the heavy cat eyes.

Great thing about this outfit, everything you see here comes with it (top, pants & bangles). How cute are the pant cuffs with the string ties hanging?  Even the top is just really well crafted, using the alpha layering so you get an amazing fit, without the boobage popping through, yep…I said boobage!

Again

I feel like it has been too long since I’ve done a real blog.  I mean, I’ve been  posting the color challenge blogs weekly, but just a regular one?  Forever.

So I was determined today to make it happen, of course Second Life had other plans for me.  I spent the majority of my day naked and ruthed.  So sad.  I did manage to finally work out what the bug was, and get myself sorted, dressed and looking all things Felicity again.

I also thought I might point out this amazing new VIP group that Katey Coppola has set up for Glitterati.  The membership fee is minimal, and has already MORE then paid for itself in the few days since I’ve joined. This prop/pose I am featuring above was the first gift, and comes with a bunch of fun poses, plus additional hangers you can use on the clothing racks.  She has already sent out another gift, which I haven’t even had time to open yet!

I’ve thrown together some amazing mix and match pieces from Nyte’N'Day, the amazing new Maitreya boots, AND this stunning new do from elikatira, you should see the back, front doesn’t even do it justice.

And meanwhile…I’ve been listening to the same song on repeat ALL night because someone plurked it earlier and I cannot get it out of my head.  You know how that is?  You come across a song that you LOVED a million years ago, and you want to just drown yourself in it?  *goes off to listen again*

I’ve decided to give a go at a Blogger Challenge.  I rarely participate, because I just don’t have the time, or creativity at times.  However, Luna Jubilee picked a subject I should be able to manage; Color.  As she explains on her blog, this will be a weekly challenge, which WILL be a challenge for me, since I don’t *always* blog every week.

Week one was super easy for me, I had just picked up this new sweater set and jeans.  WIN!
