Never Should Have

I’m sure you’ve heard that Fameshed is celebrating their one year anniversary this month?  The list of talented creators is just jaw dropping. So I thought I’d give you a very very very tiny sample of some of the good you can get there.

My entire outfit, dress, scarf and jewelry all came from the event, and the dress comes in some fabbbb color combos.

This kitchen can also be found at the event and I believe it comes in FOURTEEN different colors – plus it comes in a PG and Adult version.  Great thing about it, if you are anything like me and you need to have something to work in a specific space not only does it have a rezzer and come preset but you can also rez individual pieces!  Brilliant!

Feel it All

This mesh bikini top (and the bottoms which I am not wearing in this shot) is fantastic!  There is a great hud with an easy way to change the textures and it fits perfectly!

I’ve been meaning to use this cardigan sweater and since I didn’t want to do a “beachy” scene it was the perfect fit, mesh is really making fashion so exciting in SL, isn’t it?!

I’ve also managed to get the new version of Firestorm running pretty decent and I thought you should know this photo is hardly edited.  Really impressed with how well it is capturing pics now!

I’m making a good effort to get lots of use out of the new home, and winter pics are so lovely aren’t they?

So, I’m not a real big gacha person, I know this might be like… sacrilegious to some, but it’s just not my thing.  HOWEVER, I had to have these ear muffs – well, I really wanted the owl ones, but after trying over and over I gave up =/  No owls for me.  These are still super cute though, and so is my new jacket, paired up with the boots and scarf I look all winter cozy, don’t I?

Living In The Moment

Pretty sure I could pull a very similar look together from my RL closet.  I <3 scarves and sweaters – sunglasses and big leather bags.  I love this look for all the bright colors, I tend to wear so much brown, so when I put on these GORGEOUS new mesh apricot colored jeans I decided to step outside my color comfort zone.  I  might have to stay in this for quite a while, I really do adore the look.

Satisfied

I’ve been wearing this mesh skirt for a few days now, I have one just like it in RL, so when I saw it in SL I had to have it.  It’s crafted so well, there are some semi sheer layers, that really lend to the over all look of it – That is lived in, well. worn, and comfortable.

I thought this new hair was perfect with the skirt, so I might not change for a few more days…don’t tell anyone!

As for the outdoor living space, most of it comes in a rezzer!  How perfect is that?  The pool, floating lily pads, retaining wall, stone floor and fireplace are all part of it.  It even comes in a brown stone as well.  I thought this little table and chair set that I had looked perfect with it.  Seems like the perfect place for a little backyard party?!

Empire State Of Mind

I was chatting with Tesh last night, and it came up in conversation that I am originally from New York.  I don’t mention it all that often anymore, I think I used to complain a lot more about missing “home”, but I’ve only actually live in North Carolina about 5 years now. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I live, it is a really beautiful part of the country, but the city girl in me misses the hustle & bustle occasionally.  There really isn’t any other city that can compare…

So when I came across the Burley sim on Koinup places and saw the Vesuvio Bakery on the corner, I was immediately won over.  There are other New York styled sims around, pretty sure I’ve seen other pics of one with the Brooklyn Bridge that I will have to hunt down.  So don’t think this is the last you’ve seen of me wandering the city streets!

How Could Life Get Any Better

A couple of days ago Koinup got in touch with me about a partnership, and I was happy to hear from them because it gave me reason to explore the site a little more.  I’ve been a member for a while now, but I honestly have not been using it to the full potential.

Something they’ve really been trying to promote is their places section - www.koinup.com/places.  So I poked and prodded around the site a bit yesterday and today, came up with a little list of SLURLS (which was easy peasy because they are all right on Koinup), and logged in this afternoon ready to sim hop!

I can’t tell you how thrilled I am, honestly – I spend so much time at my home sim, and never really go anywhere, so this has been an eye opening experience.  I went to about a dozen sims, landmarking one after another.   The images on Koinup are all amazing, and the places are equally as enticing when you get there.

While I was out, I kept finding more and more places that I could see potentially using for blogging.  So, this is going to be my project for the new year – I am going to *try* to explore and take pics at one new place that I find on Koinup each week… and share it here on the blog.  I’m adding a Koinup category to the blog, so it should make it easier to find them going forward!

My first stop was Japan Chubu, which is one of 4 sims that are all linked together, you could honestly get lost there for hours.  Choosing just one place for a picture was the most difficult part.

And speaking of pictures, I had some of the very best company today!  Howard Rushwald was kind enough to spend numerous hours helping me scout for a spot, pic a pose, be patient while I made him rummage through all the hair in his inventory, etc etc.  He is relatively new to the blog scene, but he puts together some really great looks, and captures them wonderfully at his blog:  Howard Rushwald Style (go on add it to your reader, you’re welcome!)

You’ll be wanting style credits now huh?

Someone who knows what you are being vague about, who knows when you are denying the truth (even to yourself).  Someone who stands by you, and sticks up for you when you aren’t the prettiest cookie in the box.  Someone who listens to you bitch about the same thing over and over again, until they want to run screaming, yet they sit tight, and give you their ear.  Someone who always remembers to IM you, and say hi, because they know you kinda suck at that shit.  Someone who gets your jokes, has old stories that you share in common, and teases you about your strange habits.  Someone who knows your pain, feels the pain for you, wants to make everything right in your life, just because they love you dearly.  I’m lucky to have that sorta friend. <3

I’m wearing a realllllly well made mesh set, tank and skirt, which comes in a whole slew of colors.  The skirt sizes were much better fitting then I’ve seen this far, and the top is just adorable, not bulky at all.  Sophia Harlow has on some unreleased yummy stuff that you will have to hold your breath for!

I don’t do the Elf thing, nothing against it, just never been my thing.  But when I saw Ivy’s flickr image of this new set the other day, I decided I had to have it!  I thought I would put on the ears, giggle a little and move along.  However, I just LOVE the whole look, the skin, antlers and elven ears are just perfect together, the tips of the ears even have a little blueish tint to add to the “frostbite” look.

I’ve probably mentioned about a hundred or so times that I worship Maitreya’s shoes, right?  I mean, I do.  They are like crack for me.  I saw Onyx post the upcoming new release about a week or so ago, and I was just drooling all over my screen.

So when they came out, I ran right over and grabbed up a couple of pairs.  I adore them.  I love the amazing amount of options that come with them.  You get both the over-the-knee socks, and the slouch.  The over-the-knee version comes with the straps and without, and of course you get a whole rainbow of sock color options.  And lets not forget the simple fact that the shoe itself is so delicious.

So I opted not to wear very much for this post besides the shoes, can you blame me?
